Wortwörtlich! Einer der wenigen Vorteile der Unterelektrifizierung Ugandas ist die geringe Lichtverschmutzung. An klaren Abenden (wovon es trotz Regenzeit viele gibt) kann man demnach tausende Sterne sehen, auch weil der Mond oft erst spät in der Nacht aufgeht. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist natürlich, dass es um 20:00 Uhr schon stockfinster ist. Die Fotos werden dem für Stadtkinder so eindrucksvollen Spektakel nicht gerecht…

Literally! One of the few advantages of the underelectrification of Uganda is the little light pollution. On clear evenings (there are many even though it is rainy season) one can see thousands of stars, also because the moon often rises late in the night. Another advantage is that at 8 pm it is pitch black. The pictures don’t do this for city kids so impressive spectacle justice…
